Who are the Trainers:
Gudrun Kober:
Gudrun is the director of the PEACE Centre.  For the past sixteen years she has been practicing as a clinical psychologist.  She obtained a doctoral degree in social psychology while working as a lecturer in the psychology department of the University of Namibia.  She has twelve years of teaching experience in both undergraduate and postgraduate psychology courses and led the UNAM Psychology Department for a total of five years.  Since 1997 she has been closely involved in the professional training (Masters Degree, including internships) of psychologists in Namibia.  Her advanced professional training includes family therapy, narrative therapy and Gestalt therapy.  To further prepare her for the training as part of the PEACE team she completed a certificate in “The education and training of trainers” with the South African Institute for Traumatic Stress in 2003- 2004.

Manuela Guandalini:
Manuela Guandalini is an Italian and German Clinical Psychologist specialized in Children Psychology. She has been working for six years in a German Women's Shelter consulting survivors of domestic violence, women and children. She has been trained as Gestalt Therapist and worked with individual clients while specializing in Computer Technology. She lives in Namibia since 2005 as development worker for the German Development Services (DED). She supports different projects and organizations working against Gender Based Violence by e.g. giving trainings, directing drama groups, participating in awareness campaigns. 


Monica Bandeira:
Trained as a Community-Counselling Psychologist, Monica also received the Certificate of Achievement in the “Trauma Treatment and Prevention Through Community-Based Interventions” course offered by SAITS in 2003. Before joining PEACE, Monica worked for the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) in Johannesburg, where she provided counselling (individual and group work) to victims of trauma as well as training to other service providers on the subject. With experience in, and commitment to, community-based interventions as well as counselling of trauma victims, Monica now works as the Psychosocial Projects Coordinator for PEACE.
